A jewel
is not made just like that
it needs time
sometimes a lot
to think
to experience
then a sketch or drawing
or not
the choice of the material
then collecting it
sometimes a first sample
then the start
forming the material
 smithing - soldering
filing - sanding
fitting - measuring
polishing - setting - finishing
a day passes quickly
with many hours spent
and lots of love
maybe it doesn't fit well
into a 'quick time'
but it is made
to be loved
for longer then a moment

I started goldsmithing in 2000 with a course, the passion to create grew and I established my own shop with atelier in 2007.

My shop exsisted for ten years from 2007 until 2017 at two locations in the upcoming Amsterdam Czaar Peter area with small businesses and boutiques developing.

During that period I have designed, created, sold and repaired many jewels.
Clients and jewelry lovers often returned for something new, a beautiful present or for the repair of something dearly.

Since 2017 my shop is closed - what remains is the passion to create. My work is now available via my webshop.

Traveling and nature are the main source of my inspiration. From the motion of the sea, a beautiful flower, a shell from a far away beach, gemstones as treasures of the world, a memory. Every jewel has its story.
-
All my jewels are personally designed and created as a unique pieces or in small series and  (if possible) marked with my responsibility mark registered at Waarborg Holland since 2005 and registered
®.
You will find a copy of the mark at the page below.

Social Responsibility
Juwelig jewels are created with materials from suppliers that are connected to the dutch convenant "verantwoord ondernemen'. Whereof more than 99% of the supplied gold and silver are recycled.
I believe that using recycled metals serves our planet better than using fair trade gold or silver.

My silver jewels are often created from argentium 935 silver, which is alloyed with germanium, to prevent it from tarnishing.
